Cookies and local storage are different
Cookies are small values a browser can send with requests to a website. Local storage is a browser facility that keeps values for a particular website without automatically sending them with every request. Both can be relevant to privacy and consent rules.
The site’s own JavaScript does not set cookies. It can store your chosen preference locally when you use the controls on this page. Reading articles, using the mobile navigation and drafting a contact message do not require you to accept optional storage.
Your saved preference
“Accept” records acceptance of optional cookies if offered; “Essential Only” records a refusal of optional cookies. In this edition both choices leave the same tracking-free functionality because no optional technologies are included. Acceptance is not permission for undisclosed future tracking.
Enable JavaScript to view or change the preference stored in this browser.
Storage inventory
| Item | Purpose and value | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| junglefeedcomet-cookie-choice | First-party localStorage preference: “accept” or “essential.” No name, email or draft message is stored. | Until you clear it, remove site data or your browser deletes it. No automatic expiry. |
| Contact draft | Temporary page memory used to construct the plain-text preview. Not a cookie or localStorage entry. | Until the page is left or reloaded. |
Change or remove your choice
You can replace your choice at any time using the buttons above. “Clear saved preference” removes this page’s preference key. Clearing site data in your browser also removes it. Preferences are specific to the browser and device; a choice here does not automatically transfer elsewhere.
If storage is blocked, the page reports that the preference could not be saved. The core articles and contact draft remain available. Clipboard permissions and downloaded text files are managed separately by your browser and device.
External links and future changes
Linked websites may use their own cookies after you visit them. No external portfolio is embedded here. If optional technologies are introduced, their purposes and providers must be disclosed and any required consent obtained before activation.
